Rithu Parvana, a 3-year-old girl from Thrissur, Kerala, India, required specialised treatment for a congenital heart condition and underwent PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus) Device Closure.

In 2024, Rithu received specialised cardiac treatment at AIMS, Cochin. PDA device closure is a catheter-based procedure used to close an abnormal connection between two major blood vessels near the heart, helping improve blood circulation and reduce unnecessary strain on the heart.
