Salman Ahamed, a 2-month-old baby boy from Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu, India, required specialised treatment for a congenital heart condition and underwent PABV (Percutaneous Aortic Balloon Valvuloplasty).

In 2016, Salman received his cardiac treatment at MIOT, Chennai. PABV is a catheter-based procedure in which a balloon is used to widen a narrowed aortic valve and improve blood flow through the heart.

With timely medical intervention and fundraising support, Salman was able to access specialised paediatric cardiac care at just two months old. His journey highlights how financial assistance can help families secure essential heart treatment for babies with congenital heart conditions and give them a stronger start towards a healthier future.
