Sibanda Nakisani, a 2-year-old boy from Zimbabwe, required specialised treatment for a congenital heart condition and underwent VSD (Ventricular Septal Defect) Closure.

In 2024, Sibanda travelled to India and received specialised cardiac treatment at AIMS, Cochin. VSD closure is performed to repair an abnormal opening between the lower chambers of the heart, helping improve blood circulation and reduce strain on the heart.

With timely medical care and fundraising support from Bloom to Life, Sibanda was able to access the specialised paediatric cardiac treatment he needed. His journey highlights how financial assistance can help children travel across borders for essential heart surgery and gain access to specialised cardiac care.
